Manchester Baseball is proud to announce that they now have a Special Needs Program called The Marvels Team! The Marvels Team is dedicated to children ages 5 to 17 that have intellectual and/or physical disabilities and a passion and desire to participate in a team sport. The purpose of this team is to take the "dis" out of disability and celebrate a player's individuality. Players will work on skills such as throwing, catching, hitting, fielding, and understanding the game. Players will partake in 6 practices, lasting approximately 45 – 60 minutes each. Parents and siblings will have the opportunity to participate during some practices. During the final week, we will send the season with a celebration and the players will compete in a baseball game.
Every player will receive a uniform that consists of a hat and jersey. There are NOregistration fees for the Marvels Team as we want to provide experiences that are stress free for players and their families. Players will work on skills such as throwing, catching, hitting, fielding and understanding the game. Parents and siblings will have the opportunity to participate during the practices. The season will end with a final game and CELEBRATION that will have huge community involvement. (i.e. food trucks, games/activities, fire trucks/ police cars, other program teams/families as fans, etc.)
As you know, we are a Non-Profit organization in which these opportunities have only been made possible by the generosity of families, organizations and businesses in our community. We are grateful to be able to provide these programs and are appreciative of all continued support. The Marvels Team would greatly benefit from community sponsors/donations. In return, we would feature your company as one of our sponsors on the back of the jerseys and/or on banners/advertisements. If you would like to make a donation please emailTiff Kallenberger, VP of Manchester Baseball at email@example.com line: MARVELS. For any additional information regarding the team, coaching and program please contact Chris Vaughn, Head Coach firstname.lastname@example.org.
